Poetry, Pages, and Mango Season
April means so much to me.
It’s National Poetry Month, and as someone who writes from the heart, this one feels personal. Poetry has always been a space where I can say what I need to say, even when the words don’t come easy.
I have two novels in verse that I am especially proud of.
Words Were The Enemy and Where The Guava Tree Stands.
Both of these books carry pieces of me. They explore language, identity, memory, and the quiet ways we find our voice. If you haven’t read a novel in verse before, April is the perfect time to start.
I’m also excited to share that I’m now selling my books directly from my website. This is a big step for me as an independent author. It allows me to connect more closely with you, my readers, and to build something that feels personal and sustainable. When you purchase from my site, you are supporting not just the books, but the entire journey behind them.
And let me say this clearly: Reviews matter.
If you have read any of my books, please take a moment to leave an honest review on Goodreads, Amazon, or wherever you read. Reviews help other readers discover these stories, and they make a real difference for indie authors like me. Your words carry weight.
April also brings that shift in the air. Spring is here. Things are blooming. There is a sense of renewal, of starting again.
And if I am being honest, April also means I’m getting closer to summer. Closer to sunshine. Closer to mango season. Don’t judge me. That alone is enough to keep me motivated.
As always, I’m still writing. The stories are still coming, and I’m listening closely. I can’t wait to share what is next.
Tell me this.
What is something that is growing in your life right now?
With gratitude,
