Why This Exists
A day just for them.
Black Girls Day Off is a day built around rest, joy, and community for Black girls ages 12 to 18. Girls of other backgrounds are welcome to attend as well.
Throughout the day, girls move through what we call Radiance Routes, a series of workshops designed to help them learn, reflect, and connect. The day closes with a vision board activity, so every girl leaves with something she made herself and a clear picture of what she's working toward this year.
Lunch is provided, and every girl leaves with a gift.

Black Girls Day Off is Coming Back for 2026
Last year, almost 100 girls came together for a day made just for them. They sat with a mental health counselor, learned to cook, heard from a cancer survivor, explored skin care, and closed the day with a vision board activity. Every girl left with a goody bag that included a copy of my book, Black Girls Day Off, and items she could actually use.
This year, we want to bring it back — for even more girls. We just need $1,600 to make it happen again.
Here's where the funds go:
Goody bags & books
Workshop supplies
Food
Every gift, big or small, helps get us there. Thank you for believing in this.
