Blackity Black Black Black 🖤

February is undeniably one of my favorite months of the year. Sure, it’s short, but it packs a punch. It’s Black History Month, and I don’t take that lightly.

Now don’t get it twisted; I’m Black all year round, but in February? I’m Blackity Black Black Black. Unapologetically. Loudly. Proudly. I love this month. I love what it stands for. I love what it ignites in us.

This month, I’m especially proud of my novel Black Girls Day Off. It’s not just a book. It’s a movement. A declaration. It’s a reminder that Black girls deserve softness, joy, rest, space, and breath.

Last October, Black Girls Day Off became more than a title on a book cover. It became a full-on event, real-life day of empowerment, celebration, sisterhood, and Black girl magic in action. And let me tell you. We’re doing it again. Bigger. Louder. Softer. Freer.

So if you haven’t read the book yet, what are you waiting for? Grab it in hardcover, paperback, or eBook and share it with someone who needs a reminder that she matters.

As for me, I’m still writing. Always writing. Stories keep showing up and I keep showing up for them. There’s more to come. I promise.

Thank you for supporting my books, my voice, and this mission. Keep reading. Keep sharing. Keep being undeniable.

Let’s celebrate Blackness in all its glory. Not just in February but every single day.

What’s one way you’re celebrating Black history or joy this month?

With gratitude,
