New Year, Same Pen (Still Drenched in Ink)
The business part of writing is like trying to pat your head, rub your belly, and do taxes while balancing a mango on your forehead. I wrote December’s blog, poured my heart into it... and guess where it still is? Sitting in drafts on my website. 🙈
But hey, it's a new year and I’m still here. Still writing. Still showing up.
If you’ve read my books, shared them with a friend, left a review, or just whispered “go, Leah” into the universe — thank you. Independent authors thrive because of readers like you.
Let’s make 2026 even sweeter.
I’m always working on something new. You should see the characters fighting for attention in my brain — it’s a real Carnival up there. I can’t wait to share the next story with you.
📚 Haven’t read them yet? Here are my five books currently available:
Black Girls Day Off (Hardcover, Paperback, eBook)
Where Is Noemi (Paperback, eBook)
Where the Guava Tree Stands (Audiobook, Paperback, eBook)
Sweet Like Sugar Cane (Audiobook, Paperback, eBook)
Neither Out Far Nor In Deep (Audiobook, Paperback, eBook)
📢 Please leave a review on Goodreads or wherever you read. It helps more than you know.
So here’s to January. The month of fresh pages, busted resolutions, and stories that won’t leave you alone.
What’s something you’re hoping to create, read, or grow this year?
Let me know in the comments.
With love and ink,
Leah T. Williams
