Week 3: Go Deeper 📚 (Unlocks Wednesday July 15)
Every book you read is full of decisions the author made before you ever opened it. They decided whose story to tell. They decided where to start. They decided what to leave out. They decided which details to zoom in on and which to skip entirely.
Today we think about the author as a person making choices — not just a name on a cover.
Reading Prompt:
Read 10–20 minutes. Think about the author as you read. What choices are you noticing? What do those choices tell you about what they care about?
Writing Prompt:
Write a paragraph about one choice you think the author made deliberately. Why do you think they made that choice? What would be different about the story if they had made a different one?
