Week 4: The Home Stretch 📚 (Unlocks Wednesday July 22)
You have been a reader for twenty-six days. Today you become a writer for a few minutes.
Every reader has a story inside them. It does not have to be long. It does not have to be perfect. It just has to be honest. Today your child writes the opening of their own story — just a paragraph or two. A character. A place. Something about to happen.
Reading Prompt:
Read 10–20 minutes. Pay attention to how your book begins. How did the author pull you in from the very first page?
Writing Prompt:
Write the opening paragraph of your own story. Introduce a character. Put them somewhere specific. And end with something that makes a reader want to turn the page. There are no wrong answers. Just begin.
