Today your child writes a recommendation — a letter to another kid who might pick up this book after them.
This is real writing with a real purpose. It requires them to think about what the book is, who it is for, and why it matters. That is persuasive writing. That is literary analysis. That is also just one reader talking to another the way readers always have.
Reading Prompt:
Read 10–20 minutes. Read today thinking about how you would describe this experience to someone who has not had it yet.
Writing Prompt:
Write a letter to the next reader of your book. Tell them what kind of reader would love this story. Tell them what to look forward to. Tell them what surprised you. And tell them whether you think they should read it — and why.
